Pokémon Myths and Legends of the Pokemon Worlds

Hello! This is where I'll be dumping my miscellaneous Pokemon legends and myths I've come up with. Hope you enjoy!

Once, 3000 years ago, there was a trainer with a Flygon and a Garchom
The two were the best of friends.
Everything was good...until war broke out.
The trainer was enlisted in the army, and had to choose only one of her two Pokemon companions to come with her.
They both wanted to go, to protect their trainer, and to spare the other from war.
They decided to do a battle to see who would go. Winner would be the one to go.
It was a fierce battle, but the Garchomp emerged victorious.
As the trainer and Garchomp departed, the Garchomp promised the Flygon they'd be back.
But as the Ultimate Weapon was fired...that promise was never kept.
And that's why Garchompite exists, and Flygonite does not.

Once upon a time, a group of archeologists discovered ruins in Galar.
There was a great treasure at the back of the ruins.
The archeologists talked among themselves about who should get the treasure.
However, one of them was greedy, and while the others were conversing, tried to steal the treasure for themselves.
As they lifted the treasure up, it caused the ruins to become unstable, and them to collapse.
The other archeologists passed on peacefully, but the greedy one...they were cursed.
They were reborn into a Yamask, though instead of a mask of their former face, they carried a shard from the ruins.
However, the greedy Yamask was still possessive over the treasure, and managed to wrestle a bit of control of the curse for themselves.
And now, any Yamask that gets too close to the treasure in those ruins is cursed by the greedy Yamask to become like them.

Once, before Porygon or Golurk, there was a craftsperson who wished to create an artificial Pokemon.
They spent years designing them, gathering materials, and building the automaton.
And when it was finished...the automaton's eyes wouldn't open.
They wouldn't become alive. They were simply a husk.
The craftsperson's heart was never in this. They simply had done it because they thought it would bring them fame and fortune.
And yet, when it failed, they became distraught.
"What could have gone wrong?" they thought. "I did everything perfectly!"
So they devoted themselves to fixing the problem.
Over time, as they continued working on finding a solution, they began to care about the automaton.
Not as a means for fame, but as a Pokemon of their own.
And once the craftsperson was truly pouring their heart and soul into this automaton... Its eyes opened, and it lived.
Magearna was born from from the heart and soul its creator poured into fixing it, and is why the Soul Heart is named as such.

Once upon a time, there was a Delibird with a big heart.
They wanted to give gifts to everyone in the whole world in a year!
They gathered up enough gifts for everyone, but the end of the year was fast approaching.
They were running out of time to deliver the gifts!
So they sought out Celebi, and wished to them to help make their dream come true.
Celebi obliged, and drastically sped up time for the Delibird, enough for them to deliver every last gift in a single night.
And thus, gift giving in late December and Santa originated.

Once, long, long ago, there were three powerful legends. Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
Each one had their own Mythical, that they looked after like a child. Celebi for Dialga, Hoopa for Palkia, and Marshadow for Giratina.
While Dialga and Giratina often got along with their Mythicals, Palkia did not. Hoopa was a great prankster, always causing trouble.
One day, Hoopa decided that they would try to make their own landmass. And so, they coerced Groudon to start raising some land from the sea.
However, Kyogre caught wind of this, and a great battle was fought between the legendaries of land and sea. Many Pokemon died.
When Arceus caught wind of this, they demanded to know who had caused this, who had coerced Groudon. And Hoopa, the trickster, had managed to convince everyone that it was Palkia who had done it.
However, Giratina did not wish for their sibling to be punished. They said they were the one who coerced Groudon.
And so, as punishment, Arceus banished Giratina to the Distortion World.

Once upon a time, there was a Beautifly who had an especially close bond with their trainer. The two did everything together, and trusted each other with their lives.
At one point, the two were traveling through a desert. Both were completely parched.
Suddenly, they were ambushed by a Sigilyph!
The Beautifly was too weak from lack of sustenance to fight...but the trainer had an idea.
They told the Beautifly to drink some of their blood. While the Beautifly was hesitant, they trusted their trainer, and agreed.
With the sustenance from their trainer's blood, the Beautifly was able to fend off the Sigilyph, and get their trainer to safety.
That Beautifly became the first blood type Pokemon.
