Looking for monotype trainer fanfic.

So I’m sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this but i have been looking for this kind of fanfics for a while.

Anyway, I have been looking for fanfics that the Mc is a monotype trainer and only found four, “Dance, Dragon Dance”, “Y‘know nothing Jon Snow”, “Trials of a Bug Catcher: Kanto Arc” and “A Stray Little Charmander” with the trainers specializing in Dragon, Flying, Bug and Fire types.

I wanted to know if there were anymore like that?

No worries, you're in the right place! Are you open to stories about gym leaders/other canon characters? Monotype trainers seem to be a lot more common among canon characters than OC's.

Otherwise, a very well-known monotype story is No Antidote by FalconPain (poison-types). However, while this is a trainer story in the sense that there are pokémon captures, gym battles, etc., it's a very nonstandard one--for example, the trainer doesn't survive to the end of the journey, so it may not be exactly what you're looking for.

I'm also very fond of the Pokémon Rose series by HeleneAlexandra. One of the main characters is a fire-type specialist, but the fic is about a group of trainers traveling together, and most of them have mixed-type teams.

Yeah, I was looking for a more light hearted one, but I will give Pokemon Rose a shot!

edit: Also I’m all for gym leader stories, I would prefer if it was about their journey before being gym leader.

He’s not *quite* mono-type but Panoramic Vacuum/Wolflyn has thoroughly explored the rise of steel-type expert Steven Stone in The Long Road. They’ve got a couple fics that focus on Steven and other Hoenn E4.
