"Alright. I think I will if I get the chance," Dill nodded. With a last nod at the giant Charizard, the Feraligatr stepped into the water and flipped onto his back, floating in the water as he stared up at the sky and considered. Perhaps he was on borrowed time. Perhaps he'd never see Saltriv...

Dill gave a little nod to himself. "Yeah. I reckon I did good enough. Thanks... uh, Owen."

"Yeah. Even if I just die once this is all done, at least it won't be for nothing. At least someone will remember me, right?" Dill asked, straightening up. "Best I can do for everyone I've met is make sure all that was for a good ending." He gave a bittersweet crocodile smile to himself. "Heh...

Dill was quiet for a while. "I... guess..." he said quietly. "A-and Sal... I hope they at least remember me. I don't know if we'll see each other after this, but... you know. It was nice while it lasted, I guess."

"...right," Dill hung his head. "I'm... never gonna see Mom and Dad again, huh? Sinni, Rye, everyone..." He stayed quiet as he watched the waves lap.

"But I don't want to-" Dill stopped himself, giving a long sigh. "W-would it be possible to just... stay on Cibus I mean, yeah, Sal and Shiron and everyone would leave, but... yeah. It'd be better than distortion, I'll guess."

"I guess. As long as Cibus makes it out, right? So long as this all wasn't for nothing," Dill nodded, eyeing Owen's enormous stature with a bit of nerve. "Either way, well... you know, what happens after's been eating me up. I don't know what to expect. Like, Sal's told me things'll work out...

"Yeah... just, uh, needed some time alone before all that. You know, to... think," Dill said as he pushed himself up.

"Well, I just... I don't want to- sweet Groudon below!" Dill swore as he scrambled back at the sudden interruption.

"I'm uh... not so sure," Dill sighed. "Thing is... I, uh, think I'm here because I sorta died back in my world." The river monster hung his head. "So yeah, jury's still out on me going back, you know?"

"Yeah... then you all get to go home, huh?" Dill asked, lumbering over and taking a hard seat.

"Huh?" Dill flinched, looking up and noticing the wraithly Charizard. His tail flicked a bit. "O-oh, uh... y-yeah. That'd be me."

The beach was quiet as Dill walked off the path, his tail dragging behind him as he looked around. Standing there for a moment, he took a breath before starting to make his way over to the water. He'd needed some time to himself for a while, and now was good a time as any.
