Anchor Links (for footnotes)

Is there a way to add anchor links using BBCode? My understanding is that Xenforo by default does not have anchor links, but I was wondering if you had a custom implementation. I wanted to add footnotes to my story so that users could click on a little superscripted number, get taken to the appropriate footnote, and then go back. I have a lot of explanations in my authors' notes, but it would require scrolling down. I would of course be the one manually making the anchors to do all that. I just wanted to know if there is anchor link functionality I was missing.

Anchors are actually a native feature of the most recent iteration of Xenforo! I've been having some trouble getting the board upgraded to that version, but I do hope to have that done by the end of the month. That doesn't help immediately, but it should hopefully be an option for you in the near-ish future. If I forget to revisit this topic, feel free to poke me about how it works once I post about the board upgrade.

I will also say that an option available to you now is hovertext, which allows you to place a link over text that when hovered will display a box with your desired footnote in it. If you have long footnotes I don't know if it would work well, layout-wise, and unfortunately it doesn't work on mobile.
