Flame covered his chuckling with a hand. "Chrome-dome? If you come up with nicknames for everyone, it'll be double the work remembering names!"

"I'm... not sure. One moment I was in my world, the next I woke up here. Apparently we need to save a planet." He paused. "It's... more exciting than anything we were doing, right?"

Diyem scowled. "Likely the same way you wound up here," he said to Curio. "Discount Owen. Really? How dare you. I'm far more composed than he can ever hope to be." He huffed a plume of fire and looked away. "...Yes. I was the one who had called out for help. Somehow, my word reached many of you, and now here we are."

"Well, if you wish to call it as you see it, then what I see is--" Diyem stopped himself, narrowing his eyes. "His therapist said to deescalate. "...Yes, I suppose it's time you go with the others... But first." Diyem glanced toward the entrance. "I know you're there. Enough hesitation. It will only get you killed on a mission."

It didn't come as much surprise that Diyem knew Brisa was there, but it sent sparks down her back all the same.

She once again considered her options. She could walk out. She could interrogate this charizard for the information those who'd already departed had not thought to seek. Demand compensation or assurances. Question why she had been summoned from her world over someone like Guildmaster Ayda, or that haxorus lieutenant of hers, someone more suited to this task.

...but no. She knew perfectly well why.

She dropped from her elevated spot at the back of the room and padded forward.

"Luxio Brisa," she said to the small group of assembled pokémon. "I guess we're done here."

She met Diyem's eyes evenly.

"I consent to your request."

Cynthian wanted to Brisa how long she'd been hiding there, but couldn't quite muster up the courage to say anything other than, "HI!"

"Very good," Diyem said with the same formality and respect, nodding back at the Luxio. "Then I shall send you off. If you have any questions, speak with the others or with me; I can still answer you from here. Additionally... I do have one final warning."

Diyem turned toward the screen, which was still blank, and then back toward them. "You will not be as strong as you are now. Powers you may have here, you may not have there. I have researched some of you. Do not take anything about yourselves for granted. Your strength." He glanced at Cabot. "Your emotion sense." He glanced at Curio. "Both of those will leave you, perhaps for now, or perhaps until you return. Adjust. Adapt. And most importantly, do not try anything reckless unless you are confident that you are capable of it."

Diyem nodded. "...Good. If that is everything, then I will send you over."

"We're going to lose our powers? You don't mean that we can't use our moves and such, right?" Cynthian asked, his flowers bristling.

Curio noticed the Luxio from behind and stared intently. Now there was a sight for sore eyes. She wasn't quite like the Luxray she knew back home, but still, it was a sort of familiar face. "Hey."

Her attention turned to Diyem when he mentioned she'd lose her aura powers. "Alright, whatever. Bring it. I don't like readin' everyone's minds all the time anyway. It's boring."

Brisa gave a nod to Cynthian. Ignored Flame's jibe. To Curio, she said "Hey yourself."

She wondered what was going through the lucario's mind that she should greet her so softly. Maybe Brisa would ask after the fight, assuming they both survived.

With scars like that, Brisa expected she was a survivor. Good.

Time to go.

"...Among your allies is a Charmander named Owen," Diyem said to Cabot, his claws sparking with hints of energy. "He can relate to the... circumstance you are about to endure."

And with that taken care of, Diyem was satisfied that this new wave of Pokemon would be prepared to go. Any more questions would just be... irritating.

With a flash of black lightning, they were sent to the others.

Razzle Dazzle yawned and shook out his oversized ears. Well, it was time to make himself known. Two waves of pokemon had been sent out ahead of him, and he still wasn't entirely sure where he was or why he'd been unceremoniously whipped from his airship. He hoped it hadn't crashed somewhere. Vix wouldn't let him live that down, that was for certain. And she'd probably beat him to the treasure they were competing over, to boot. Yet somehow, that thought didn't put him in a sour mood. Perhaps because he was still reeling with the shock of being warped elsewhere.

The zorua adjusted his pink and blue leg warmers as he mused over what he'd heard. Nothing about any treasure, not that anyone had asked. And hero missions weren't usually his jam. But an oversized magikarp? Something wasn't right. Was this all a dream? No... he'd bitten his foot several times already, and each time hurt. Oh well. If he was going to aide in any way, he was going to do this with all the pizzazz and Phantom Thief tricks he could perform. Time to get this show on the road.

He strutted from his hiding spot, and aimed a playful grin at the charizard. "You pulled me out of a pretty important heist, there. But I'm as ready as I'll ever be. One question though - is there any treasure involved in this?"

Oh no. Not again.

Hmmm. A prank? A bad rager? It wasn't very clear.

Booper looked down at his arms with mild interest. Guess he wouldn't be using these for a while. He'd done the whole "no grasping" thing for a while, so it wasn't exactly a bad thing, but he couldn't say he'd been expecting to wake up to this. An interesting beginning. One that boded completely well and had no possible way of backfiring, resulting in a year-long campaign of sleepless nights and drama, anything at all--

In front of him, the smallest dragon he'd ever seen. Had a little speech prepared. Was this a a timeshare pitch? Had he fallen asleep in one of those?

Oh. No. Interesting. Arguably better than a timeshare. Okay. A fun change of events. The zorua to the left of him had leg warmers -- leg warmers!! What. Very rad.

The zorua was asking about treasure. Booper fixed the Charizard with a vacant grin.

Starr wandered through the endless fields outside the city, trying not to think about the voice that had called her here, but of course that only made the words echo that much louder in her head.

So they'd been called here to deal with some World Ender BS. Probably some garbage Legendary causing trouble--it was always Legendaries screwing things up. And the hell was that about everyone called here having a 'hero's soul'? She scoffed. Yeah, mysterious Charizard dude sure as hell grabbed the wrong person if he wanted to use something like that. Should've grabbed Ajia. After all, she was important enough to soulbond with a legend or whatever the hell. And she had the optimism to give a damn about this place.

...Maybe the Charizard just wanted someone disposable. It was never smart to hurl your best assets at a lost cause--Starr knew that all too well.
Though... he had said that they'd all be returned home, like they'd never never left. She wouldn't have believed that for a second if it hadn't already happened the last time she was here. Hell, even the mafia garbage (that was real, right? if the rest of this was?) had ended the same way. But if that was true, then why her? Unless he just thought it was funny throwing people into the fire like this. Those stoic commander-types were all the same.

One of the screens showed footage of the last group who'd passed through. Starr recognized some of them. Some were even human. Her eyes slid to another screen showing the jumbo-sized Magikarp kicking the crap out of a Charmander.

"Yeah, I don't know how you expect me to fight something like without my team. Don't tell me..."--she sneered--"Gonna turn me into a Pokémon?"

If it weren't for the others' she'd have assumed it was some manner of poetic justice. Forcing her to get her own hands dirty for once. Though... it's not as if there wouldn't be certain perks to that. Provided it didn't turn her into anything useless like that damn Transfer Orb.

While everyone was talking and asking questions, a charmander, one not too different from the one seen on the screen, listened and frowned to herself. She'd been walking back home after a long (but good!) day at her job, and now she was suddenly here. It had been disorienting at first, but after hearing out what the strange Charizard had to say several times and watching the footage of the charmander being knocked out by the massive magikarp over and over, she had a pretty good idea of the situation. While she had never been much of a fighter, she would never back down from helping another pokemon in need! ...Even though this Charizard really needed to work on his pitch. There was something rather shady about the way he was presenting all this. Maybe it was just the business side of her speaking, but...

Mellow sighed and shoved those forming thoughts away. Pokemon in need. It was up to the big group she was a part of to rescue him and then take down the giant, out of control Magikarp. And when something needed doing, it just had to be done, so she shuffled forward without much said to the others besides a polite "Excuse me-" or "Sorry, just trying to get closer-" until she was next to the Charizard himself.

"So, when do we leave? Can you spirit any berries or supplies to this place for us too? Just so we don't all go unprepared?", she questioned him as she crossed her arms.

"Oh, good. More of you are--" He stopped and stared at the Wooper in particular. "...What. What? Is something wrong?" But he didn't quite get an answer, or perhaps he had only said that in his head. He stared for a while longer, that vacant grin, that... that aura about... it. He shook his head. No. He was just imagining things. His sense of foreboding was stronger than usual. Still, he didn't like that one.

"You will become a Pokemon," Diyem said, "but I can't send supplies over with you. You will need to search for supplies while you are there. I will try to guide you." He then nodded at them all. "...Good luck, and--" His eyes trailed to Booper again. A chill ran down his spine.

Black lightning struck them, and soon, the final wave of first arrivals were sent to the world of Cibus.
