Mercifully, the decidueye walked a bit slower as he made his way to the residential district, presumably out of deference to Nate's pace. Unfortunately, Nate absolutely fucking hated when people acted all sorry for him, like he couldn't keep up if he wanted to, so he charged on at a half-run anyway. At least his hand wasn't hurting quite so much now.

"So, Destiny Village," he said, doing his best not to sound winded. "All the fucking God Squad's from there? I'm guessing you ain't, not originally. Or are people from Destiny Village the only ones Arceus allows to join his posse?"

As Treasure Town's busy streets started to give way to quieter, more meandering lanes, Nate kept his eyes open. If the pokémon here were anything like what he was used to, you'd be able to tell from the shape of the house what kind of pokémon lived there. What sort of people had decided to make Treasure Town their home?

Ever since the first month of the Blacklight crisis, the Grass Continent had fallen into an uneasy peace as the general attacks had subsided. Occasionally, strange happenings were reported to the Guild, and they investigated any Pokemon that were behaving oddly, calling upon Cepa or Cresselia for help purifying them if possible. And for the most part, it worked, with only the occasional Team Spectrum member or someone else from Destiny Village being called to exorcize any particularly strong corruption.

So when a sudden, black meteor struck the center of the residential district, right where the roads met for neighborhood meetings, there was certainly a panic. Dark clouds churned and spun in a corrosive vortex that made nearby Pokemon go temporarily mad, lashing out and yelling all of their grievances toward others. This strange aura... There was something, or perhaps someone, in the middle of it, curled up and dizzy.

At the edge of the haze, Balm and Cepa watched carefully.
