Welcome to the Prize Claim Thread for Review Blitz III! Things are a little different from the last two years, so be sure to take a look at this thread.
This thread is for claiming prizes for Review Blitz. If you:
- Have questions about specifics for what qualifies for points, etc, please check the Rules and Guidelines Thread and ask any questions you may have there.
- Want to engage in general chitchat with other community members about Blitz, find some cool fic recs, and so on, check out the General Chat and Hype Thread.
- Are trying to earn points to spend on prizes, check out the Points & Logging Thread.
This year, you can spend your points at our Prize Shop, staffed by our lovely volunteers! You can spend your points in the following categories:
Shop Rules
- The Points Shop will be open as soon as Blitz opens [countdown link], and will close exactly one week after Blitz closes. [countdown link]
- You must specify your prize (i.e. tell your volunteer what you want reviewed or what you want drawn) by March 1, 2022.
- You can spend your Blitz points as soon as they are logged. Note that once you spend them, they will be deducted from your total (although the Ladder will rank participants by total points earned, not total points in possession.
- You can only purchase one ‘type’ of prize per level. For example:
- You can purchase one Level 2 Art Prize and one Level 2 Review Prize
- You can purchase one Level 2 Art Prize and one Level 1 Art Prize
- You cannot purchase two Level 2 Art Prizes
- Please note that you cannot request art or written works that contain sexually explicit content or gore, or that otherwise violate the Forum Guidelines. If you are requesting a review or beta for a work that contains content-specific material, please be aware that not all of our volunteers will be available.
A forum companion is the cute sprite buddy that you see beneath my username. Please be aware that if you request a forum companion, default menu sprites (such as
- 5 points: ONLY if you do not currently have a forum companion (and have no unclaimed forum companions through another event). You may purchase this prize once.
- 15 points: If you currently have one or more more forum companions (or are eligible for one or more forum companions through a different event). You may purchase this prize once.
- 30 points: If you have already purchased a forum companion through this year's Review Blitz (either the 5 or 15 point version), you may purchase a second one here. You may purchase this prize once.
- 60 points: If you have already purchased two forum companions through this year's Review Blitz, you may purchase a third one here. You may purchase this prize once.
- Art: Sketch level lines of a single character
- Review: Review of a single chapter
- Art: Flats or Simple Shading (artist's preference), minimal background of a single character -OR- basic pixel art such as that for forum companions
- Review: 3x Chapter Review Bundle (of a single fic)
- Beta: Beta read of a first chapter or oneshot
- Misc: Drabbles or flash fiction (100 - 1000 words) or crack theories
- Art: Rendered/Complex Shading (artist's style/choice), or complex background, of up to two characters
- Review: 5x Chapter Review Bundle (of a single fic)
- Beta: Beta read of a chapter (with some background reading as necessary)
- Misc: World Myth Encyclopedia/Aloladex(*) or oneshots
(*) World Myth Encyclopedia and the Aloladex are Pokemon-focused oneshots written by Persephone. World Myth Encyclopedia tells the stories and myths surrounding a legendary or mythical Pokemon, while the Aloladex describes the scientific background around raising a specific evolutionary line. When requesting this prize, please specify the Pokemon/evolutionary line that you would like.
Note: For Review, Beta, and Misc categories, you can request a specific volunteer to fill your request–no need to specify at the time of posting here; a member of the logistics team will reach out to you to confirm. Please also be aware that the volunteer pool may change over the course of Blitz due to changing availability on the volunteer team.
