Panic attack Wallace felt his legs shake and his stomach churn. On the one hand, he felt terrible for this boy, to go through... that. On the other hand, fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck this was why Wallace wasn't a Biology major fuck fuck fuck this was why he always passed out at doctor's appointments fuck fuck fuck fuck—

To stop himself from throwing up, Wallace blurted out, "Do you like Water types?"

"I've never had one... though one of my Pokémon can become one."

"Are you feeling alright sir?"

"Becoming a Water type?" Wallace gasps out. "Gosh, that's really cool. Like, super, super cool. Wow... gosh... um..."

Above all else, Wallace does not want this kid to think that he's panicking, or worse, imperfect.

"Can it turn into... any other types?"

"Oh... it can become all of them."

He pulled out a small disk with an orange color.

"all thats... needed are these things. This can make it a fire type for example."

Elio seemed a bit nervous as well. Did these rich folks know Lusamine? Would they know about him? He didn't know.

"Are you... in a relationship with anyone sir? I'm in one..." Elio asked, trying to make smalltalk

That question caught Wallace off guard. Well, he was—technically he was in several—but he wasn't supposed to be. He was supposed to be single, ready to be married off to some wealthy woman, true love be damned.

"Uh... um... no." Wallace wasn't going to risk a whispered truth getting caught by any of the event-goers.

Wallace almost wanted to sigh with relief; good, he wasn't talking to another homophobic socialite.

"Well, that's nice. That's... very nice."

Wallace felt himself relax just a bit more. He was safe around this Elio person. He was safe.
