Game Week of the Multiverse: Overlook Hill & Top Plaza

Rustle, rustle.

Crackle, crackle.

Crinkle, crinkle.

Wind swept across the area, taking fallen autumn leaves with it. Reds, yellows, oranges and browns were scattered around, an arrangement of fall surrounding the group that had suddenly appeared atop the hill.

Partially obscured by the leaves was a dirt path, leading down the hill on two sides. On one side, the path could be seen leading into a forest full of trees with still-green leaves. Beyond the forest, the sun was rising, bathing the sky in oranges, yellows, and purples, and dying the sheets of clouds above in those colors.

On the other side of the hill, the path lead down into a forest of trees fully embracing the autumn season, coated in leaves the same colors of those around the group. Within the forest, a large opening in the trees could be spotted, containing what looked to be a small town covered in fog. Figures could be seen traveling down paths, into and out of buildings, but they were too far away to be made out, and the veil of fog wasn't helping matters. One thing was clear, though: The figures didn't look to be human.

Neither was the group that had appeared here. At least, not anymore for some of them.

"Welcome to Overcast Village!" Ayueg said, as he lead the group into a stone clearing covered in fog.

Right to the left of the group was a bulletin board. On it were posters, depicting many Pokemon, each with the word "missing" under them and their last known location.

Near it was a brown box covered in golden yellow mechanisms. Some might recognize this as a Deposit Box.

On the other side of the group was a tent in the shape of a Kecleon's head. Beneath it were several boxes full of items, as well as a Torterra, a Meganium with short antennae, and a Chikorita with a red leaf, staring in amazement at the human-like Sneasel, the not one, but two Mews, and Arceus.

A quiet "Wow..." could be heard from the Chikorita.

Branching off of the circle everyone stood on were stone roads lined with small and large buildings, leading in various directions.

In the middle of the plaza, in front of everyone, five figures stood. A Bayleef, a Wartortle, another Meganium, this one with long antennae, a Sceptile, and an Empoleon, all of which wearing various expressions of shock.

"You were NOT kidding," the Bayleef said, staring at the Sneasel.

"Of course not. Who do you take me for, Lidequir?" Ayueg said, causing the Wartortle to briefly chuckle. The Meganium with long antennae quickly shot a glare towards the Wartortle, causing her to quickly stop.

"Anyways, what exactly happened?" the Wartortle asked.

"Well, Lidequir, I found most of this group on top of Overcast Hill. Most of them were claiming to be humans or from other worlds. I didn't believe them until an Arceus from another world appeared with them, then after that was when I contacted you again," Ayueg said. "The Delphox and the Sneasel...pokemorph still don't understand that but I don't really understand anything about what's happening right now anyways fell from the sky as we were walking down the hill."

"I see...well, let's go try and figure out places for them to stay for now," the Wartortle, Lidequir said. "Acacia, me and you, let's ask the mayor to figure that out," the Wartortle continued, looking at the long-antennaed Meganium. "Ayueg and Leviene, you stay with this group for now until everything is settled. Apoyime and Pahelia, you two go up to the top of Overlook Hill to see if anyone else appeared."

"Let's go, Apoyime!" the Empoleon, Pahelia, said, beginning to run in the direction the group came from. The Sceptile, Apoyime, nodded, and ran off after Pahelia without a word.

Ayueg blinked. He hadn't thought about if anyone had appeared on the hill as he was leading everyone to the village.

He smiled. Despite how annoying his "jokes" were sometimes, there was a reason Lidequir was the leader of their group.

He then realized that two members of their group were conspicuously absent.

"Where's Team Gardeners?" Ayueg asked.

"Oh, they're having a bit of a delay. They should be here before too long," the long-antennaed Meganium, Acacia, said.

Re-emerging from the Plaza, Lillie returned to the main area, where a few of their group were still hanging around.

One of the people there caught her eye. He looked like... a Type: Full? How was that possible?

She approached cautiously, not sure if he was dangerous, then spoke up. "Who are you?"

The top plaza of Overcast Village had quieted down since the sudden burst of arrivals. The Kecleon shop was running again, albeit without the Kecleons, and most onlookers had returned to their daily lives.

Apoyime the Sceptile and Pahelia the Empoleon had just returned from Overlook Hill, with naught but a tote bag containing some strange items. Apoyime could have sworn that he saw a Magby on the way up, but despite hours of searching, he couldn't find them.

Suddenly, above the middle of the plaza, curved grid lines appeared. A hole to another reality, an Ultra Wormhole, had appeared. From it, two Pokemon fell, a Houndoom and a Type:Null. As both fell to the ground, the wormhole disappeared, stranding the two there.

Almost everyone nearby stared in shock, even the normally stoic Apoyime. From inside the Kecleon shop, a red-leafed Chikorita quietly uttered, "Wow..."

"-ould do. There's been another sighting, another confirmed Shadow Pokemon has been located that needs to be rescued, and we have those Pokemon from other worlds that we need to get back home. We'll need to split up to take care of it all," a Servine in the Top Plaza said.

"Then let's-" a Dewott also in the Top Plaza began, before hearing the sound of rushing air. He looked up, and gasped at what he saw.

Above the Top Plaza of Overcast Village, a Chimchar was falling. Within seconds, the Chimchar landed between the Servine and Dewott, miraculously unharmed by the impact.

"...well, looks like another one just arrived," the Servine said, turning towards the Chimchar. "Are you ok?"

The Top Plaza of Overcast Village had gone mostly quiet since Harvard's arrival. A Meganium and a Torterra stood inside a tent fashioned after a Kecleon, the former handing a yellow disk to a Draklaok. A Dreepy was atop the Drakloak's head. A Lampent twirled through the plaza, their flame going up and down in a rythmic pattern. Over by a bulletin board filled with papers, a Flapple and a Porygon-Z chatted.

Suddenly, 3 figures fell from the sky above the plaza. They crashed into the stone, but were somehow unharmed. An icy Ninetales, a Zoroark, and a Luxray.

A Bayleef wearing a blue and green striped scarf ran over, face contorted in worry. "Are you all okay?" they asked.

"Status on the human world?" a Wartortle asked into a device with a connection orb at the top.

"Nothing seems to be off here," another voice spoke, coming from the device. "Though I still need to check the other regions."

"Can you check A-" a Meganium began, before cutting off, as a portal opened above the two. From it, a Buizel and Quilava fell, falling towards the ground.

"I'll have to ask you later. We just got two more arrivals," the Meganium said, as the two fallers crashed into the ground, though oddly they wouldn't feel any pain from it.
