"So, would you take it?"

"No," she replied immediately.

"Ivy wants to be remembered as The Great and Mighty! If no one remembers Ivy, then what's the point?!" Ivy asked in disdain.

"Don't you want to be remembered too? Seyka the Big Bird. Now that's a name!"

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"Hm, I suppose that's a point," Seyka said. "But I don't think I'd do it either. Mostly because it's kind of a boring way to end things."

"As for your other point," the Skarmory said. "I'd be fine with being forgotten. Nothing wrong with being unremarkable, though I suppose that's just what I believe."

"So then, great and mighty huh? What will you do to be remembered then?" Seyka asked. "How will you be a hero?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Ivy doesn't really know... maybe Ivy just has to help a lot of mon, or do something no one can forget. Ivy is still figuring it out," Ivy mumbled while starting a the ceiling luminous Orbs.

"How can Ivy become great and mighty?... Oh! Ivy will ask Luz! Luz is a hero, she would know!"

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"Haa, I suppose so," Seyka replied, smiling.

Someone else I don't know... ah

"I think you have the right idea though." The Skarmory looked thoughtful. "How many people do you think you'd have to help until they remembered? Maybe if you just want to jump to the top, you could always save the world or whatever. That seems to be in vogue here after all."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"In the vogue...? Ivy doesn't know what that means," Ivy mumbled.

"What about you? Why do you want to be unremarkable?" she asked, drawing the conversation away from herself.

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"No reason in particular," Seyka said, his smile fading. "You said it yourself, you're remembered for your actions. At least, you said something close to that."

"More to the point though," the Skarmory said. "It's- well, it's easy to be happy, to have no regrets when no one expects anything of you."

"It's funny actually. The reason I'm here in the first place is that- I guess in some way, I wanted to be a hero. But that wouldn't make up for anything huh? It probably wouldn't really make me happy either."

"Oops, that's probably boring stuff," Seyka said. "Sorry for making you listen to that. Why do I really want to be unremarkable?"

Seyka smiled. "Because then, no one can see me coming! It's the unexpected that makes life worth it."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Ivy doesn't really understand that. You say a lot of confusing stuff, Big bird. Whatever part of Cynthian Ivy is from, she has no idea what you're talking about," Ivy said with an understanding nod.

"Are there any other stuffs to drink here? Ivy wants to try a new drink, one that tastes good!"

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"Oh! You're with Cynthian. That makes sense," Seyka said.

"I can't tell you what to drink though," the Skarmory said. "We all have different tastes, so why don't you have one of everything! Whatever you don't want, I'll finish. Does that sound okay?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"That sounds like fun! Ivy will do it then!"

And so Ivy ordered a bunch of different drinks. Out of the twenty she somehow ordered, she'd guzzled down about fifteen bottles, and pushed the remaining five to Seyka.

"They all taste terrible! But not too terrible!" Ivy said. She pointed at the remaining five, especially at the clear liquid one called Budka. "These ones are evil. Ivy doesn't like them."

Seyka downed the remaining drinks. "Here's a question. If you had the same ones and they were better, would they still be evil?"

"Oops, I guess we'd have to do a blind taste test then," the Skarmory said. "But yeah, do you think evil drinks can become good drinks?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm, why would they taste different? If they taste bad, they'd still taste bad when Ivy has her eyes closed, wouldn't they?" Ivy asked with a flower over her chin.

"Maybe if you add a little bit of a good drink to an evil drink, it'll become less evil!"

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"You might have a point," Seyka conceeded. "But what if an evil drink could be good by it's own merits. Like, if you didn't have to add another drink, just made one better on it's own."

The Skarmory paused. "We're still talking about drinks right?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

The Skarmory paused. "We're still talking about drinks right?"

"I DON'T KNOW! What are we talking about?" Ivy asked, bursting into laughter. However, Seyka's previous question did drift in her mind and she took a full second to ponder it.

"Maybe an evil drink can taste not evil if Ivy gets used to how it tastes. I think? What do you think?"

Seyka nodded. "Could be. But what if you're just subconsciously blocking out the taste because you want it to be better than it is."

"I think what's most important is whether or not you want to give the drink another try," the Skarmory said. "Even if there are hundreds of good drinks, would you still give one bad one a chance?"

"This is starting to sound like a bad metaphor, huh," Seyka muttered.

 

[Adamhuarts]

Ivy stared at him in silence for a brief duration. She then pulled the Bodka over to her and took a huge gulp. Her eyes dimmed. For a moment it looked like she'd spit it out, but then she swallowed and let out a groan.

"Still... evil, but Ivy gave it another chance!" she said with a weak chuckle.

 

[RJR Basimilus]

Seyka laughed. "If it tastes bad the first time, you can't just expect it to be better. You have to change it by changing what it's made of, taking care of it."

The Skarmory frowned. "That raises the question of whether or not it's the same drink though. Confusing."

"But, you did try it again, so that's good."

"Anyway," Seyka started, "-you seem like you know a lot. Can you tell me... some of the other's names?" The Skamory looked embarrassed, "I haven't actually personally met much of the team, but it seems like everyone I meet already knows who I am. It's kind of scary."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Hmm, you'll have to ask Cynthian for that. Ivy only knows Soul and Luzy. Oh, there's the big white fox Icetales. Cynthian really likes that one."

Ivy then leaned towards him and asked, "Hey, would you like to be Ivy's friends too? Ivy only has two, and together with you it makes three! That's like how many thorns on Ivy's head!"

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"Hmmm, I'll try and remember those," Seyka said, too caught up in his thoughts to actually ask what pokemon the names belonged to.

"We can be friends if you want," he added, "If we're friends though, we have to tell each other a secret right?"

"Ha, just kidding," Seyka said. "I tried something similar with someone earlier and it didn't work out. That's why they're secrets after all."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Ivy can't tell you any secrets. They're Cynthian's secrets, not mine. If Ivy gets her own secrets, maybe Ivy will tell you," Ivy said with a pleased hum.

 

[RJR Basimilus]

"No, no, you're right. I'm not asking for Cynthian's secrets," Seyka said. "But I'll hold you to that, ok? We'll trade, if you get a secret you can tell me, then I'll tell you something I have. All my secrets are a bit boring though."
