[Adamhuarts]

"Oh don't worry about that. I'm all over my fear of fire now. Still hurts tho." She looked at the ground with a blank face. "Fire will always hurt a lot."

"But yeah it'd be so cool to fight with you Starr! If you have any fighting moves, that'd be even better" She raised a vine and bent it. "I bet you could do this to Balm. Just like that."

 

[Chibi Pika]

Starr shrugged. "Well yeah, no one's gonna expect you to turn off a type weakness. I've been clubbed by enough rocks when sparring with Cabot, always hurts like a bitch," she said casually.

That was good that Cynthian wasn't freaked out by fire moves anymore though. ...Not that it was Starr's fault that she'd spawned in as a fire-type--the hell was she supposed to do about that? It really shouldn't have been any of her concern if someone was scared of her for something outside her control.

Still. It was good.

"Fighting moves huh..." Starr scratched at her cheek fur. "I'll see if I can come up with any. There was one I was thinking of trying, might be good for dealing with those damn Divine Protects." She grinned. "Guess it's official, then--time to show 'em what we're made of."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Yeah, we'll definitely give them a run for their money next time!" Cynthian said, pumping a bouquet over her head.

"Say if you're in the mood for it we could go and do some warm ups at the training facility now! Since you're a pokemon trainer, you can just think of me as your pokemon while we train... or would that be weird?" Cynthian chuckled. "No, that'd totally be weird wouldn't it?"

It felt good to finally be comfortable in Starr's company. She walked up to Starr with a hearty smile and on they went about with their day.

[Persephone]

Flowers had always smelled nice. Cuicatl had also found dandelions fun to twist around with her hands until the pollen had fallen out and her palms were a little sticky.

Seeing them was better. It would be a long, long time before she got tired of hovering above gardens. Coco had come along with her on this walk but ended up falling asleep in a sunbeam while Cuicatl kept admiring the scenery.

It was a good day.

Some part of her still wasn't used to having those.

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Whoa, Cuicatl! Is that you?" Cynthian asked upon stumbling into the hydriegon. Tucked in her bouquets were a bunch of flowers from camellias to tulips she'd plucked around the park.

"Fancy meeting you here. How are you today?" Cynthian asked, flashing a smile. With how different she looked compared to other Roserade, she wasn't even sure if Cuicatl would recognize her.

 

[Persephone]

Speaking of flowers... a particularly nice smelling one approached. They hadn't interacted as much as she would have liked. Cuicatl wasn't sure if she should initiate. Was it awkward?

Cynthian called out to her. The dragon pivoted in midair to see that. Huh. She looked a lot different. Smelled and sounded the same, though.

"Hi, Cynthian. I see you took advantage of the unleashed. Looks nice. Any significance to it?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Oh, this? Well..." Cynthian had been trying to not pay attention to the fact that she couldn't revert her appearance ever since they returned from Maple's void lands, and now she shifted uncomfortably as she grew self conscious of it.

"Uh, It lets me do this." Cynthian's chest flashes a golden color and a chain of thorned vines shot out, surroundinghher like a vicious barrier. With a mental tug, the vines fizzled into sparkling dust particles. "Pretty cool, right?"

 

[Persephone]

"Yeah! It's not dragonfire, but... um. It's cool." Really put her tail in her mouth there.

"And I think the colors are very pretty-striking. Pretty striking. They look nice."

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Thank you," Cynthian said, smiling faintly. Even her appearance change didn't keep her flowers from radiating her happy tangy fragrance.

"Say, why don't we catch up a bit? Have you been up to anything exciting lately?" Cynthian asked, walking up to her. It was only up close that she paid attention to Cuicatl's rather imposing draconic figure. Though on the other hand it was still far off from Owen's comically large frame.

"I don't know how much this whole team spectrum thing has concerned you, but you've surely been around here and there, right?"

 

[Persephone]

Cuicatl paused as the scent around her changed. Evolution hadn't really dulled her sense of smell and it was a little... distracting. In a good way.

"Beating up bad guys, keeping my roommates from killing each other, baking... Um, while you were... nevermind, but I kind of made a deal with Petram to make cupcakes. It's a little hard since neither of us has proper hands but we've worked it out."

 

[Adamhuarts]

Cynthian glanced down at her bouquets. She chuckled and averted her gaze. "That's one thing we have in common."

 

[Persephone]

Cuicatl laughed. Sort of. Dragon laughs are more like growls.

"Um. Sorry. Meant that as a laugh. I miss my hands, yeah, but this body's better in almost every other way. What have you been up to since... recently?"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"I've been working with the others with this whole saving the world thing and whatnot." Cynthian sighed a bit despondently. "Every time I think we're getting close to the bottom of this, a new curve ball gets thrown at us."

"Well, this would've been all over long ago if it was straightforward." The flowers in Cynthian's bouquets twitched and leapt out, scattering about and running on their roots. They all found empty spots and quickly tucked themselves into the soil. Cynthian didn't seem the least bit fazed by it.

"We still have to knock some sense into Soda up on the moon too, but Diyem says the world eating raging storm at the tree of life takes priority." Cynthian scratched her cheek. "Can't say I'm opposed to that however."

 

[Persephone]

"I mean, it's bad that all this is happening, but it's... exciting, I guess? My world might end in a few years and there's nothing I can really do about it. Here I at least have a chance to delay things. And maybe even go to the moon. I know the storm is more important, but going to the moon sounds exciting!" Cuicatl's eyes followed the leaves burrowing into the soil. "Wait, you can just make more flowers grow like that!"

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Oh? That's just a grass type thing, I think. I've always been able to do that as far as I could remember," Cynthian said, vaguely recalling the time Mama Zahra taught how how to sprout her first seedling.

"It feels so much easier to do these days. Now I can even make them walk around and stuff. I think that could just be a side effect of Diyem's influence though."

 

[Persephone]

“Ooh. I don’t think that’s a normal grass type thing in my world. I’ve never seen it, at least. It sounds like a cool trick for parties.”

 

[Adamhuarts]

"Is that so? Come to think of it, you're a human like Starr and Koa, right?" Cynthian asked, blinking. "Were you a 'trainer' too?"

 

[Persephone]

“Yeah, I was human.” Cuicatl paused. Pokémon didn’t always react great to learning about trainers. “And I had some Pokémon I traveled with, yes. A snow vulpix, a Beldum, and… you’ve met Coco, right?”

The baby dinosaur perked up and wagged her tail back and forth in the grass.

 

[Adamhuarts]

Cynthian glanced at the tyrunt and smiled. As her gaze lingered on the pokemon, she realized that Cuicatl only had one dragon... well more like an eventual dragon on her team.

"Should be exciting when your world's Coco evolves into a dragon I bet. Are you going to recruit more like her along the way?" Cynthian couldn't help but ask.

 

[Persephone]

“We already classify her as a dragon at home. Doesn’t quite know any dragon attacks yet, but she’s getting there. Still just a hatchling.”

Cuicatl paused. She’d decided not to panic about inevitably going back, but she still didn’t like to think about it. “Maybe more. Maybe not. Dragons are expensive to feed.”

Then there was Alice, which… Problem for another her, really.
